Soon, Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile might release a new software update for its Xperia T3 smartphones out there, as it has already received the necessary approvals for brand new firmware for this device.

To be more precise, the PTCRB has certified software build number 18.1.A.1.21 for the LTE versions of the mobile phone, namely models D5103 and D5106, both of which are currently running under software flavor 18.1.A.1.17.

Moreover, the new firmware release will arrive on the HSPA+ Xperia T3 variants, namely model numbers D5102 and M50w, as version 18.2.A.1.18, up from the previously available firmware iteration 18.2.A.1.14.

As can be seen from the small change in the version number for these updates, only a small set of improvements are expected to be delivered to Xperia T3 smartphones out there, as XperiaBlog notes in a recent post.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what these will be has been provided as of now. Moreover, details on when the new software update might start rolling out are missing as well, and we’ll have to wait for Sony to formally announce it to learn more on the matter.

Xperia T3 is currently available in only a small number of markets out there, which suggests that the rollout process should be completed pretty fast, once it kicks off, of course.
