A new firmware for Sony Xperia Z C6603 has received the necessary approvals from the PTCRB recently, namely version 10.3.1.A.2.74.

The new software is based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which suggests that it will be released only as a minor update for the high-end handset.

According to XperiaGuide, the upcoming software release might arrive on devices with a series of bug fixes packed inside, as well as with small performance improvements.

Apparently, the 10.3.1.A.2.74 update has emerged online before receiving the PTCRB approvals. Sony is expected to start rolling it out in the not too distant future, most probably worldwide.

Apparently, the update is planned for roll-out on Xperia Z devices on the network of Three in various markets. It has been confirmed for 3 AT and 3 DK, but is also expected to arrive at 3 IE, 3 SE and 3 UK.
