The feature will download and install new builds on request

A new feature is now available in the CyanogenMod 10 ROMs, designed specifically to automatically fetch the latest nightly builds for your devices.

Called CM Updater, the feature can be found in Settings > About, and is available in the latest set of nightlies coming from the team.

“Starting with the latest batch of CM10 nightlies... Check Settings > About to configure your own update options,” CyanogenMod notes in a post on Google+.

The software will check for new builds available for a user’s device on the CM servers, and will also install them on request.

One thing that users should keep in mind is that the updater will look only for stock CM10 builds. Google applications won’t be automatically updated either, which means that users will need to update them manually.
