Other applications will be updated for the Lumia 1020 smartphone

Nokia’s Lumia 1020, a 41-megapixel Windows Phone 8-based device, went official yesterday with a nice range of appealing features for its users, including a new camera application.

The company also comes with the promise of new software set to arrive on Microsoft’s platform in the not too distant future.

Among these apps, we can count Vine, Path, and Flipboard, all these expected to arrive on the OS in the not too distant future.

Furthermore, Nokia announced that updated flavors of applications such as Yelp, CNN, Vyclone, and others will arrive on Windows Phone 8 soon, optimized for the capabilities that Lumia 1020 was unveiled with.

At the Lumia 1020 launch event in New York City, Nokia also showcased Hipstamatics’ Oggl PRO app, which will be released exclusively on the new handset, and which allows users to set manual focus and exposure, reframe shots, and more.
