No official confirmation from Google has emerged until now

Android 4.4, the next flavor of Google’s Android operating system, is expected to become official in October, with the name of Kit Kat attached to it.

While no official announcement on its arrival has been made as of now, Nestle’s Kit Kat Facebook page for Germany appears to confirm the upcoming availability of the platform for the next month.

When asked about the release timeframe for the OS, the person who handles said page said that it would indeed be released in October, just as previously rumored.

Of course, this is not an official confirmation of the release (as mobiflip.de notes), especially given the fact that the statement comes from someone outside Google.

However, it would not come as a surprise if all panned out, so keep an eye on this space for additional details on the matter.
