Facebook, the popular social networking site that announced last week over one billion users, is reportedly getting ready for the launch of a native mobile client for Android devices.

Apparently, the company has already pushed the upcoming application to the final testing phase, and it might not be too long before it lands on devices running under Google’s mobile operating system.

Of course, Android users can already enjoy the benefits of a Facebook application, yet not everybody is happy with what it has to offer.

In fact, Mark Zuckerberg did say not too long ago that the release of a HTML5-based Facebook application for Android was a mistake.

No specific info on what the new, native app will have to offer to Facebook users has emerged for the time being, but Engadget notes that it is indeed coming, so stay tuned for more on this.
