The handset might feature the same capabilities as Moto G, but a tougher design

Mobile phone maker Motorola has seen great success with the Moto G handset, the cheapest phone in its lineup at the moment, and it seems that the company is planning on monetizing on this with the launch of new versions of the phone.

One of these will be a so-called Moto G Forte, which should feature a rugged design (dust and water proof) and which is said to be headed to shelves in Latin America.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now, but a recent tweet coming from @evleaks suggests that things will indeed turn out this way.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what the Moto G Forte will have to offer in terms of hardware specs and capabilities has been provided yet, but we can assume that it will sport about the same capabilities as the original phone.

This means that Motorola will manage to keep the handset at a low price tag, which should make it a great option for users in Latin America, as well as in other emerging markets out there.

Info on when the phone is released hasn't been provided as of now, but it might not be too long before Motorola decides to make such details official, so stay tuned.
