Google and Motorola are asking carriers to commit to large volume sales

Motorola and Google are known to be getting ready for the launch of a high-end Android-based device that would be able to rival top handsets out there, none other than the so-called X Phone, but it seems that only users in large markets will be able to purchase it.

According to Ausdroid, Australia might not receive the device, since carriers in the country cannot commit to large volume sales, though all should be decided at the end of this month.

Additionally, the smartphone is now said to pack a Qualcomm processor, although it was said to sport a Tegra 4i chip yesterday, and to feature a 5-inch full HD touchscreen, rather than the previously rumored 4.7-inch display.

Overall, however, the handset should prove a fairly impressive device, capable of helping Motorola regain some of the market share it has been losing lately, though it remains to be seen when exactly it will be launched.
