Mobile phone maker Motorola has recently provided some additional info on its Android upgrades roll-out plans for its handsets, unfortunately disappointing many of its users.

As it turns out, the deployment of Ice Cream Sandwich has been pushed back for some of the company’s devices, such as the XYBOARD 8.2 and XOOM Family Edition, as well as for the DROID BIONIC.

These devices are now expected to get a taste of Android 4.0.4 sometime in the fourth quarter of the year, although they were initially said to receive it earlier.

At the same time, Motorola noted on its device software upgrade webpage that info on when the ATRIX 2 and PHOTON 4G will receive their share of OS upgrades would be provided at a later date.

With some of these devices launched over a year ago, it’s not surprising that users get angry at Motorola, although this is not the first time when the company delays software updates.
