Mobile phone maker Motorola is gearing up for the release of a new software update for its ATRIX HD smartphone on AT&T’s network, one that might bring the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system on the device.

The company has already started to send out invitations to users to participate in testing the preview flavor of the software, but hasn’t provided specific info on what it includes.

“We are inviting owners of the Motorola ATRIX HD on AT&T to participate in an early preview of a new software release, and provide feedback. If you are not currently using a Motorola ATRIX HD, please excuse and ignore this email,” Motorola reportedly said.

Motorola has already confirmed that it would deliver Jelly Bean to ATRIX HD, yet it hasn’t offered specific details on when the OS upgrade might be released to users.
