Owners of Moto G devices on the network of mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless should be receiving an update to the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system as we speak, and Motorola has officially confirmed that this is happening.

In a recent tweet, the company has revealed that the update has started rolling out, yet no specific info on how long it will take to reach all handsets has been provided as of now. However, we can expect the new OS upgrade to roll out to all devices in a matter of days.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Motorola and Verizon kicked off a soak test for the Moto G update only several days ago.

Apparently, the testing phase went quite well, and Motorola has decided to start rolling out the update to all Moto G handsets at this wireless carrier.

The update will provide users with a series of security enhancements, as well as with improved camera features, such as the ability to pause video recording.

Verizon’s Moto G users should receive a notification as soon as the new update is available for their devices. They can also manually check on the software’s availability through heading to Settings > About phone > Software updates.
