The smartphone should be available for around $270 (€185) outright

The successor of the popular Moto G Android smartphone is about to make its debut on the market, along with the Moto X+1 most likely. The latest information on the so-called Motorola Moto G2 comes directly from Australia.

According to an Australian retailer internal document published by AusDroid, Motorola Moto G2 is coming soon in the country. In fact, sources familiar with the retailer roadmap for the next weeks claims that the smartphone may go on sale sometime in mid-August.

The Moto G2 may be priced between $270 (€185) and $300 (€205) outright. It’s also worth mentioning that the smartphone will only be available in Black, but additional color options may be released soon after launch.

Specs-wise, the smartphone is said to pack a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Customers in Australia will be pleased to know that Motorola plans to launch the dual-SIM version of Moto G2 in the country. The smartphone will also pack an 8-megapixel back-facing camera, a 5-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display and LTE support.
