The update is now pushed OTA (over the air), in stages

Canadian customers who purchased the Motorola MOTOLUXE and updated to software version 1_74D_1022 complained that their phones did not connect to Wi-Fi network anymore.

Both Bell and Virgin Mobile carriers have been aware of this problem since day one as many customers called their support lines to highlight this annoying issue.

However, it appears that it took Motorola more than 3 months to offer an update that would fix the Wi-Fi bug brought in by the previous update.

We have recently received reports that software version 1_74F_1022 is now pushed to all Motorola MOTOLUXE devices, but given the fact that it’s sent in waves, not all users will receive it at the same time.

Keep in mind that the update is aimed at MOTOLUXE owners currently using v1_74D_1022 software version. The following changes and improvements are included in this update:

- WiFi connectivity patch: patch to prevent loss of WiFi data connectivity when 3G data is disabled; - Latest Android security patches: latest Android security patches to improve your device security against malicious software.
