US Cellular and Motorola will offer the upgrade in the coming months

Motorola has just started the rollout of Android 4.4 KitKat update for Verizon Moto X and has announced that a dozen other smartphones will receive the upgrade in the not so distant future.

The ATRIX HD, DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD, as well as DROID RAZR M, DROID Mini and DROID Ultra are among the most popular devices confirmed to receive the KitKat update.

However, the most surprising device on the list of eligible smartphones for an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade is the Motorola Electrify M from US Cellular.

The handset is now listed on Motorola's support site and it is confirmed that its software will be bumped to Android 4.4 KitKat at some point.

US Cellular and Motorola have yet to announce the release date for Elecrify M’s upcoming major upgrade, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
