Nothing has been confirmed officially on it until now

Galaxy Nexus has already landed on shelves at Verizon Wireless, and it’s time for another handset for the wireless carrier to make it to the headlines, the Motorola DROID 4.

The new device was spotted into the wild before, and a press photo with it is also available, but Verizon has yet to make an official announcement on it.

Apparently, both the unveiling and the actual release are very close, and December 22nd might offer users the possibility to purchase the new handset, at least this is what Droid-life reports.

Featuring support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, the smartphone should pack the same design as the Motorola RAZR, but with a QWERTY keyboard added into the mix.

Nothing has been officially confirmed on the availability of this device, and chances are that it might get delayed, just as Galaxy Nexus was a few times before, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed for the December 22nd launch date to pan out.
