Mobile phone maker Motorola is set to provide more users with access to the goodies that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has to offer to them, and has already confirmed plans to make the OS upgrade available to the DROID Xyboard 8.2 and DROID Xyboard 10.1 tablets on Verizon's network.

For the time being, however, the company has not unveiled a specific release date for the update, yet it has already said on its official support website that the two slates will be upgraded.

Unfortunately, only these two tablets will be upgraded to Jelly Bean, it seems. All other flavors of the Xyboard devices, regardless of whether they are Wi-Fi-only or 3G-enabled, will remain on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to Android Police, sources with Verizon also confirmed the upcoming availability of the update, though still without a specific release date.
