Moto X, the latest Android-based smartphone from Motorola, is set to become available for purchase through Republic Wireless in the near future.

The company has already officially confirmed plans to add the device to its offering, with a price tag of $299 (€221) attached to it, without the signing of a contract agreement, PhoneScoop reports.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Republic Wireless is a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) that uses Sprint's network.

Made official earlier this summer, Moto X arrives on shelves with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the mobile phone features 16GB of internal memory, a 10-megapixel camera on the back, with full HD video recording capabilities, and a front camera for video calling. The handset runs under Google’s Android Jelly Bean platform.
