Owners of Nokia Asha 501 smartphones can now download and install a new music application on their devices, in the form of Moodagent.

Just as its name suggests, the application was designed to provide users with music in accordance with their mood. Users will have a graphic equalizer-style set of ‘mood’ sliders to play with, and the playlist will change depending on how they modify these.

There are fixed sliders available, namely anger, love, happiness, sadness and tempo, and one will be able to mix and match moods in different ways, Nokia Conversations notes.

The application also comes with pause, back and skip buttons, placed at the bottom of the screen, allowing users to easily jump from a song/album to another. Moodagent will automatically search for music on your phone’s memory card. You can also sync it when new songs are added.

The mobile application is available on the Nokia Store for Nokia Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503 handsets.
