Minecraft Pocket Edition has been released in the Google Play Store as version 0.8.0 today, with a nice range of enhancements packed inside.

Among these, we can count minecarts, rails, and powered rails, along with massively increased view distance, and new textures, colors and block functionality, taken directly from the PC version.

Furthermore, the update game features new blocks: carpets, more wood types, hay bales, iron bars, and more; new crops and food types: beetroot, carrots, potatoes and pumpkins; and a variety of more blocks and items to use in Creative Mode.

Those who install the new game version will also enjoy new AI and breeding, an updated Creative inventory with tabs, and improved lighting and fog effects.

Minecraft enables users to place blocks to build things and go on adventures, and comes to mobile devices with Survival and Creative modes, as well as with multiplayer capabilities over a local Wi-Fi network.
