Microsoft has just announced that a new update is available for its popular Remote Desktop application for Android devices. The new version comes with a few new features and overall improvements.

According to Microsoft, the latest version of Remote Desktop introduces a brand-new client. It looks like the company's engineers have put a lot of work into delivering a new improved experience that should provide nicer UI and better features.

First of all, the update adds a new user interface, which features new connection center and in-session improvements. Another addition to Remote Desktop is the multi-session support, which allows users to run more than one application or desktop session at a time.

Last but not least, some overall stability enhancements and lots of bug fixes have been implemented as well, but no additional details on any of them have been shared yet.

You can now download Microsoft Remote Desktop for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0.3 and up.

Keep in mind that both Windows Profession and Windows Server editions are supported by the Android app, as well as Azure RemoteApp. Make sure to check out the full list of supported Windows versions before downloading the application.
