Microsoft has just announced that it has released an official Bing application for the new Firefox operating system for mobile devices. The application is available for free on Firefox Marketplace, but it’s unclear whether it supports the latest version of Firefox OS or not.

Still, those who wish to conduct their Internet searches with Microsoft engine can now take advantage of Bing. The application already has more than 20 reviews and judging by the rating it has received, Firefox OS users are really enjoying it.

Here is what Microsoft had to say about the release, “at Bing, we are committed to helping you spend less time searching and more time getting things done regardless of which platform you use. Joining the roster of platforms where you can find Bing including Kindle, Android and iOS, earlier this week we released the Bing App to the Firefox Marketplace.”

Bing for Firefox OS seems to be very fast and responsive and provides more search alternatives to those who hate relying on Google search engine. Unfortunately, due to the low market presence of the Firefox OS, this will probably go unnoticed.

We will keep an eye out for any additional details on future updates offered by Microsoft, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
