The problem was identified more than a month ago

We reported earlier last month on several issues affecting Windows Phone 7.8 devices like the Live Tile freezing problem and the massive data usage.

Although it’s been more than a month since some of these issues were identified, Microsoft has been mum on any updates that could fix some of these bugs.

Well, it appears that Joe Belfiore’s team of developers is actively working on a fix for the Live Tile freezing issue.

As the folks over at TheNextWeb point out, Belfiore confirmed that a fix would be provided to Windows Phone 7.8 users pretty soon, “Yes. We identified a minor issue where some 7.8 tiles stop updating and we are working on a fix now.”

No word on exactly when this update will hit Windows Phone 7.8 devices, but we will keep an eye out for this one so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
