A few days ago, Micromax-owned subsidiary YU confirmed that its second Cyanogen-based smartphone after Yureka would make a debut on the market on May 12.

The next-gen device is called Yuphoria and will arrive with an AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and will ship out with Cyanogen OS 12 out of the box.

As we wait for the big announcement to be made, you can take a look at the video that Micromax’s co-founder Rahul Sharma shared on Twitter.

In the 35-second YouTube video, we are shown how the upcoming Yu Yuphoria survives an accidental drop on the floor.

While the smartphone comes out intact from this situation, the floor (made out of ceramic tiles) does not. Incredibly, after the impact, the surface is shown as being cracked.

The incident is hinting that the Yu Yuphoria will probably come with a metal frame (or maybe even a metal body). However, we should probably wait until the official announcement to see what the phone is truly all about.

In related news, the soon-to-be-previous-gen Yureka smartphone recently received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update after being launched with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
