Owners of Micromax Canvas Knight A350 devices in India should be receiving a new operating system update very soon, in the form of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, as the handset vendor has started rolling it out today.

According to a recent post on droidguru.in, the new platform update arrives on devices over-the-air and weighs 388.18MB.

As part of the update, users will receive all the enhancements included in Android 4.4.2, such as various user interface improvements, with white icons in the status bar.

Moreover, following the update, users will see Music Album art being displayed on the lock screen while music is playing, and will also enjoy a camera shortcut on the lock screen.

According to the update’s release notes, due to the risk of incompatibility issues, a series of apps will be removed from the smartphone as part of the update, including Where Is My Perry, Toy Story, and Kingsoft Office.

Micromax also recommends that users go to the nearest service center in the event that they experience issues with the OTA update.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Micromax Canvas Knight A350 was launched with the Android Jelly Bean platform loaded on top, but that the handset vendor re-launched it a few months ago with the KitKat OS version pre-loaded out of the box.
