Indian mobile phone maker Micromax is reportedly getting ready for the release of a new entry-level Android-based smartphone, and might unveil it in the not-too-distant future as Micromax Canvas Fire A093.

The new device arrives on shelves with a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) IPS display, while being powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, paired with 512MB of RAM, info coming from hi-tech.mail.ru reveals.

Moreover, the handset should go official with 4GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the phone is said to sport a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, paired with a VGA front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Moreover, the Micromax Canvas Fire A093 is said to sport 3G connectivity, along with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS receiver, while being powered by a 1750mAh battery.

Additionally, the phone will hit the market with dual-SIM capabilities with dual standby, as well as with the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system loaded on top.

The new handset is expected to arrive on shelves in Black with Gold, White with Gold, Black with Silver, and White with Silver colors, yet no specific info on when that should happen has been provided as of now. The phone should cost Rs. 6,299 ($105/€77).
