As we've previously reported, Micromax has unleashed upon the Indian market a large phablet device with a stylus, called the Canvas Doodle 4.

The device will sell for $143 / €131 a pop, but given that it has such an affordable price tag attached to it, you shouldn’t be expecting anything too grand on board.

The phone takes advantage of a low qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels), although previous leaks said that we were going to see a 720p display on the front of the Canvas Doodle 4.

NDTV reports that under the hood lies a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MTK6582M) processor fitted with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB).

The phone also offers an 8MP main camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 2MP selfie shooter up front. The handset draws life from a 3,000mAh battery, but given the size of the phablet, it should run out of fuel pretty quickly (even though the resolution is very low).

It comes with Skitch and offers users Premium Subscription to Evernote absolutely free of charge.

The big handset runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and offers dual-SIM options. Micromax is offering the phablet for purchase with a white paint job.
