14 DAY TRIAL // We reported late last week on the next Micromax mid-range Android smartphone, the Canvas 2 Colours, and now it looks like the device went on sale in India.
Fonearena reports Android enthusiasts and fans can now purchase the Canvas 2 Colours for only Rs 10,299 ($170 / €120) off contract.
According to fonearena, the smartphone is available in Dark Grey color with Radiant Red, Vibrant Yellow, Splendid Green or Mystic Blue back cover panel, as well as White color with Yellow and Green back covers.
The smartphone ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor inside.
It also sports a large 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and offer dual-SIM support. On the back, Micromax Canvas 2 Colours boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording.
There’s also a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front for video calls. On the inside, the Canvas 2 Colours comes equipped with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
The smartphone also comes 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS with A-GPS connectivity and a decent 2,000 mAh battery that has yet to be rated by the Indian OEM.
