MetroPCS has just announced it has started the deployment of the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S III.

This is the second carrier announcing the availability of this upgrade within the last couple of days.

Verizon also published the official changelog of an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for its Galaxy S III, though the changes included are way fewer.

On its official Facebook page, MetroPCS states it has started rolling out the Jelly Bean upgrade and expect that all Samsung Galaxy S III owners will receive it within the next few days:

“To check your phone, go to: Settings, About Device and then Software Update. Please note that the upgrade is 400mb and must be done over Wi-Fi.”

Make sure you back up your personal information before attempting to upgrade just in case.
