The handset comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform onboard

Huawei and MetroPCS have silently launched a new budget-friendly Android smartphone in the U.S., the Huawei Valiant. The handset can be paired with the carrier’s unlimited Talk, Text and Data plans at $40, $50 and $60.

The Valiant is a cheap alternative for Android fans who cannot afford more expensive smartphones. The device can now be purchased for only $80 (€60) outright.

It comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a decent 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display featuring Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Hardware-wise, Huawei Valiant packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, 512MB of RAM 1.9GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

According to MetroPCS, the phone’s 1750 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide users with up to 10 hours of talk time or up to 560 hours of standby time.
