Chinese mobile phone maker Meizu has officially confirmed plans to make its Exynos 5 Octa-powered Meizu MX3 smartphone available for purchase in China on September 28.

The mobile phone will be put up for sale in the country through its online store, as well as via all of its 500 retail locations in China.

The MX3 was announced with an 8-core processor inside, as well as with 2GB of RAM, and sports a 5.1-inch touchscreen display.

Furthermore, the new device is powered by a 2400mAh battery and features an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back. It will be available in the country at 2,499 Yuan, with 16GB of internal memory.

As GizChina notes, Meizu MX3 will have a small advantage over rival Xiaomi Mi3, as it will land this month, whereas the latter will not be available until October.
