An updated flavor of the popular MX Player has been released in the Google Play Store over the weekend, bringing along support for the latest flavor of Google’s mobile operating system, namely Android 4.4.1 and Android 4.4.2.

The application is available for download as version 1.7.21 at the moment, with a series of stability enhancements also packed inside, so as to resolve a series of crashes that occurred on some Android 4.3 and 4.4 devices.

In order to enjoy the features and capabilities of the new app iteration, users will also have to install the latest build of the custom codec for MX Player, as version 1.7.20 won’t work with it.

With MX Player on their smartphones and tablets, users can watch movies while on the go, courtesy of support for multi-core decoding.

You can download MX Player for Android 1.7.21 from Softpedia today. The app is compatible with all devices running under Android 2.1 and up.
