Aside from the Nokia X family of Android smartphones and the cheapest Asha phone, today Nokia has also introduced the lowest-priced data-enabled feature phone.

Dubbed Nokia 220, the handset will be available for purchase beginning this week in Asia-Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa for only €29 ($40) outright.

The phone comes with a standard 2.4-inch display that supports 240 x 320 pixels resolution and 262k colors. It features dust- and splash-proof keypad and comes preloaded with Facebook and Twitter social apps, along with Bing as the default search engine in the pre-loaded Nokia Xpress browser.

Nokia 220 sports a sub-par 2-megapixel rear-facing camera with video recording, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), FM Radio, GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity and 1100 mAh battery, which is rated for up to 696 hours of standby time or up to 15 hours of talk time.
