We reported earlier yesterday on the newly announced Huawei Ascend P2, the Chinese company’s next Android flagship smartphone.

Just like its predecessor, the Ascend P1, Huawei Ascend P2 is very slim at only 8.4mm thick and provides more data speed and processing power.

Huawei prides itself with the fact that Ascend P2 supports LTE Cat 4, which provides up to 150MBps data speed. That would make it one of the fastest smartphones on the market.

Unfortunately, Huawei confirmed the Ascend P2 would only go on sale in Q2 2013. In fact, the smartphone will be launched by Orange France in June for around 400 EUR / 525 USD outright.

Other highlights of the phone include: 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 4.7-inch IPS HD display, 13-megapixel rear camera and 2420 mAh battery. Check out the gallery below.
