Although made official before the Mobile World Congress 2013 kicked off in Barcelona, Spain, the HTC One smartphone was present on the floor at the trade fair, and Softpedia’s editors have had the chance to take a closer look at it.

The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean-based device is set to arrive on shelves next month as the new flagship from the Taiwanese handset vendor, with highly appealing features inside, including a new camera sensor which should change the way users snap photos with their smartphones, as HTC puts it.

There’s a 4.7-inch full HD screen on the phone’s front, along with a quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor inside, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory.

The handset’s camera features a 4MP UltraPixel sensor, paired with a 2.1MP front camera for video calling. There’s also 4G LTE to take advantage of, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual speakers on the front, new audio technology, and the usual set of sensors.
