A 7-inch tablet running under Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich

Alcatel’s Android portfolio does not include only smartphones, although the company brought plenty of those to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week, but also features some tablet PCs, with the One Touch Evo 7 being one of them.

The slate packs a 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor inside, paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, and should be able to provide users with an appealing experience on its 7-inch WSVGA touchscreen display.

Not to mention that it sports both Wi-Fi and HSPA+ 21mbps connectivity capabilities, along with Bluetooth 2.1, a microSD memory card slot, microUSB port, and a 0.3MP front camera.

However, the slate is powered by Google’s older Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, which hurts it a bit, and which might also seem like a deal breaker for many. Even so, it has an overall appeal that will help its market performance, given the right price.
