Besides the new Xperia P and Xperia U smartphones, Sony brought along to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona phones that were launched last month, including the LTE-enabled Xperia ion destined for AT&T’s airwaves.

The new mobile phone will soon offer great performance capabilities to all those interested in 4G speeds on AT&T, while shining under the Android platform.

It is powered by a fast 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Dual Core processor, complemented by 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. There is also a microSD memory card slot (supports up to 32GB of external storage space). The phone has got other features to offer as well, starting with the large 4.55 inch scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen (720 x 1280 pixels) and going all the way to the 12.1 megapixel camera with auto focus packed on its back.

Featuring LED flash, it can also record videos in full HD resolution. Not to mention that these videos look great on the handset’s large HD screen.
