The deployment of the Lumia Cyan update appears to be in full swing at the moment, as owners of Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 smartphones out there are also seeing the platform arriving on their devices.

Earlier today, we have seen the update arriving on Nokia Lumia 1020 handsets in several markets out there, after a handful of other Lumia phones have started to receive it in the past several weeks.

Apparently, owners of Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 in the UK and some other European markets out there have started to receive the update, a recent post on nokiapoweruser reads.

With the availability of this update on these two smartphones, we can assume that Microsoft is finally ready to deliver the update to all owners of Windows Phone 8 handsets, just as it announced a few months ago.

Lumia Cyan is the Nokia-exclusive firmware destined for Windows Phone 8 Lumias, meant to provide them with more than just the enhancements included in the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system version.

Those who will upgrade to it will enjoy various camera improvements, updated applications, better security and new enterprise features, while also receiving all of the new functionality that Windows Phone 8.1 was announced with.

That includes Action Center, an updated Internet Explorer, World Flow, Cortana for users in the United States, Start Screen backgrounds, and various other improvements as well.

To keep an eye on the availability of Lumia Cyan, head over to the official update tracker that Microsoft has published.
