Lumia Cyan, the software update meant to bring the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system to all Nokia Lumia handsets out there running under Windows Phone 8 or up, is now available for yet another device in the series, namely Lumia 1020.

The platform upgrade previously arrived on smartphones such as Nokia Lumia 925, Lumia 625, Lumia 1520, Lumia 1320, and Lumia 520 out there, and should arrive on even more of them in the not-too-distant future.

At the moment, the software update is being pushed to the 41-megapixel Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone on several markets out there, including Canada, Finland, the UK, and UAE. Some users in Indonesia are also seeing the update arriving on their handsets.

What’s interesting to note is the fact that Lumia Cyan is available not only for country variants of this handset, but also for some carrier-branded models, at least in Canada, where both Rogers and TELUS are rolling it out now, as nokiapoweruser notes.

As mentioned above, Lumia Cyan brings the Windows Phone 8.1 platform to Nokia handsets, but it also includes a series of enhancements that are not part of the operating system upgrade.

In addition to Action Center, World Flow, Start Screen backgrounds, and other enhancements, the update will also provide Lumia 1020 users with a series of camera improvements.

Soon, the update should start arriving on Nokia Lumia 1020 devices in more countries out there, so keep an eye on this space for updates on the matter. You can also check the official Lumia Cyan update tracker to learn more on where the platform upgrade is available.

Update: Lumia Cyan appears to be already available for Nokia Lumia 1020 in most markets out there.
