14 DAY TRIAL // Nokia and Microsoft announced the availability of the Portico update for the new Windows Phone 8 devices a while ago, but it seems that the software started to arrive on Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 devices in some parts of Europe and Asia only this week.
Earlier today, we learned that users in the UK are starting to see the new update arriving on their unlocked Lumia 920 handsets, but it seems that the platform is being pushed to more markets, a post on esphoneblog reads.
Following the update, users will see firmware version 8.0.10211.204 running on their devices. Users should check on the availability of the update for their handsets, provided that they run a previous flavor of the platform.
Windows Phone 8 Portico, aka PR1.1, will arrive on Lumia phones with messaging enhancements, better Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, camera improvements, and the like.
