Users in India interested in purchasing a Lumia 530 smartphone will have to wait for a few weeks more before being able to do so, as the initial batch of devices put up for pre-order there has been already sold out.

The handset is set to arrive in the country in the third week of August, and some 5,000 lucky users have already had the chance to reserve it.

The phone has been put up for reservations only via Snapdeal, but is set to become available via other retailers in the country as well. In fact, Flipkart is already listing it on its website as coming soon.

However, the same as Snapdeal, the retailer provides users with the possibility of registering for info on when the Lumia 530 will be available for purchase.

For those out of the loop, we should note that this is the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1-based Lumia device out there, and that it will arrive on shelves in India with dual-SIM capabilities inside.

The phone sports a 4-inch screen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, and a 5-megapixel camera on the back, with no front camera for making video calls. It also includes support for 3G networks.
