In order to thank the developers who had supported BlackBerry 10 platform before it went live last month, BlackBerry decided to offer them limited edition BlackBerry Z10 devices.

According to CrackBerry, there will be only 12,000 limited edition BlackBerry Z10 devices specially manufactured for developers. They will be red and will be etched with special serial numbers.

Aside from that, there won’t be any hardware differences between the limited edition and the standard BlackBerry Z10.

In the same piece of news, BlackBerry has decided to extend the deadline for acceptance of the BlackBerry Z10 limited edition until February 28 for those who have yet to qualify.

BlackBerry Z10 comes equipped with a 4.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (768 x 1280 pixels) resolution and packs a powerful dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. More details on the phone’s specs sheet are available here.
