Chinese mobile phone maker Lenovo is reportedly getting ready for the launch of new smartphones, including one that would be included in the company’s popular “Think” series.

No specific info on what the handset will have to offer to users has been provided as of now, but techcrunch claims that Dilip Bhatia, vice president and general manager of Lenovo’s ThinkPad Business Unit, has already confirmed plans for the launch of a Think-brand smartphone.

The company already has a wide range of mobile phones available on shelves, including the recently released K900 with a dual-core Intel processor inside, but it seems that it has bigger plans for the smartphone segment.

The Think-brand handset (or handsets) might prove to be a very high-end device, one capable of competing with Apple’s iPhone or Samsung’s Galaxy S series, thus helping Lenovo gain more market share in this segment.
