Chinese mobile phone maker Lenovo will soon make new Android-based smartphones official in India, including the Intel-based K900, as well as the S820.

Rumors on the upcoming availability of K900 (the first handset to pack an Intel Clover Trail+ dual-core processor) in the country have been floating around for quite some time now, but no official confirmation on Lenovo’s plans for it has emerged until now.

According to a recent post on AndroidOS, today the company has announced plans to hold a press event in New Delhi on June 5, where it will unveil no less than six new smartphones for the local market.

No other details on the matter have been provided as of now, but a TV ad that Lenovo has aired on various TV channels in India hint at the aforementioned K900 and S820.
