Lenovo is one of the OEMs interested in pushing to the market smartphones running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, and it appears that the company is also looking into adding its own customizations to them.

The company is reportedly in talks with Microsoft to receive approval for including a number of personalization features to these devices, others that those that Windows Phone 8 already provides.

According to a post on WPDang (via WPSauce), the company is looking into adding its own UI on top of the platform, while also providing users with access to its own application store designed for these devices.

So far, Microsoft has been pretty clear when it came to such customizations, preventing OEMs and carriers from adding them to Windows Phone devices, yet things might change with the upcoming platform release. Stay tuned for more on this.
