Lenovo introduced its first camera-centric smartphone, the Vibe Shot, at MWC 2015. The handset made a debut into the wild boasting a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution and an impressive 400+ppi pixel density.

The model relies on a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset, which might not be Qualcomm’s greatest chip (the Snapdragon 810 is) but it’s still a decent piece of silicone.

Lenovo is also offering 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). While this is the variant that will probably go on sale in Europe, it appears Lenovo is developing a Vibe Shot version with lower specs that retains the camera equipment.

The Lenovo Z90-7 has just been spotted on the Chinese TENAA website boasting the same 3x LED flash and 16MP frontal snapper as the international version (as spotted at Giz China).

However, instead of the 1080p resolution, we now have a 720p display, while the Snapdragon 615 has been swapped out to the advantage of a MediaTek MT6753 chipset under the hood.

The MediaTek MT6753 is a variant of the MT6752 chipset, based on an octa-core setup with support for global 4G. So the phone should be compatible with GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE and FDD-LTE.

The lower-end version also includes dual-SIM support, Android 5.0 and a 2,900 mAh battery. The international version of the Lenovo Vibe Shot will go on sale for $349 / €312 this June, but the model we've been talking about will most likely be cheaper.
