Tablet PCs are highly popular these days, especially those powered by Google's Android operating system, and it seems that Lenovo plans on getting a piece of the market for itself.

The company is reportedly aiming at bringing to the market an Android tablet that would feature a 5-inch screen, and which is expected to arrive on shelves in China under the company's LePad brand, and under the IdeaTab name in other markets around the world.

The device has made it into the wild in a series of photos over at Engadget, but no specific info on its hardware capabilities emerged for the time being.

However, it is expected to land on shelves with micro-USB and HDMI ports, as well as with a front-facing camera.

Considering that the largest Android smartphone in the world is bigger than this device, it remains to be seen how well it will stack up against competition.
