Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is expected to make official a new Windows Phone 8-based smartphone before the end of October, and it might pack it with a new gallery application called Storyteller.

Info on the company’s plans on the matter made it online a few times before, and it has been confirmed now via a leaked screenshot that shows the app running on the aforementioned upcoming device.

In fact, a photo that emerged online courtesy of @evleaks shows the app running not only on the smartphone, none other than the Lumia 1520 (aka Bandit), but also on Lumia 2520, supposedly Nokia’s upcoming tablet PC.

As esphoneblog notes, the leaked screenshot shows that Microsoft might be finally tightening the compatibility between Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8, and that the same app could, potentially, run on both platforms unmodified.

However, this is only speculation for the time being, and specific info on the matter will not be unveiled until Nokia makes Lumia 1520 official, supposedly on October 22.
