Sony Mobile is busy making the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update ready for deployment on its Xperia S (LT26i) smartphone, and it seems that it will pack it with some appealing new features.

In fact, it appears that it might include all the appealing enhancements that Xperia Z was made official with inside this upgrade, so as to enable more users to enjoy them, at least this is what a leaked build unveiled.

Among these, we can count display mirroring and “Find my Xperia,” along with a new lock screen, as well as an extended standby mode, which should result in longer battery life.

Screenshots with the leaked ROM also confirm that the platform’s kernel has been updated to version 3.4.0. The firmware update should land on the handset as version 6.2.x.x.x. More can be found on this thread on XDA-Developers.
