Available in the form of an early Android port, it requires side-loading

Instagram has already been confirmed to be landing on BlackBerry 10 devices in the not too distant future, yet no specific release date for the new mobile app has been provided as of now, although users eagerly waiting for it can already download a leaked flavor from the web.

The leaked package is of an early Android port, and might cause a lot of problems, but it’s a solid proof that the official app might be set to arrive sooner rather than later.

Furthermore, as n4bb notes, the .BAR file is not provided via a direct download link, which means that users will have to side-load it using a Windows-based PC or a Mac computer.

This is not the official release of Instagram for BlackBerry 10, and those willing to give it a try should keep that in mind. They will be installing it at their own risk.
