One of the most popular messenger applications for Android devices, LINE is now available for Windows Phone 8 handsets as well.

Developed by NAVER, LINE allows users to make free voice calls and send free messages while on the move. The application has been ranked number 1 in more than 41 countries and is available for download for free.

The latest update bumps the application to version 2.0.0.16 and adds support for Windows Phone 8 devices, along with Metro UI system.

Aside from this major change, developers claim they have strengthened stability of the application by improving database structure.

The new LINE 2.0.0.16 is now available as a free download via Windows Phone Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 7.5 and up. Check it out here.
